We worked with the release 2.2 and all was fine with the file attachment.
Now the version 2.4.15 is installed and we lost all attached files and we are missing the function "attach files".

The web.xml file seems to be correct.

What's wrong?

----

Check that your jspwiki.properties has correct settings for attachments, and that your web.xml has been updated to the latest beta version web.xml. There have been significant changes...

We are also having this problem. The Attach file function is completely missing. How can this be? We installed the 2.4.15-beta WAR as per usual.

Do your users have access rights to upload files? Are you sure that your jspwiki.policy file is okay?

I put the wiki in C:\

I told the installer to use a directory called wiki\files when installing and of course it actually put them here: C:\p\web\www-data\jspwiki

So I moved them back to wiki\files and altered the properties file in C:\TomcatForWiki\Tomcat 5.5\webapps\wiki\WEB-INF thus:

jspwiki.fileSystemProvider.pageDir =C:\ \wiki\ \files\ \web\ \www-data\ \jspwiki

I also changed the section on attachments and they sprung into life too!

This broke search however... AHA! not it isent.. its just lost all the tokens when I moved the files as new stuff is indexed ok... HOW di I force a re-index???

Search is reindexed if the lucene directory in {{jspwiki.workDir}} is not found. I.e. delete your lucene subdir, and restart. It'll take a while to index the pages, so let it run for a few minutes first before you try to search.

I assume this means that this was resolved.
