|Version|JSPWiki v2.3.92-alpha
|Submitter|Bruce E Hayward

|Browser version|firefox and ie

|Servlet Container|jakarta-tomcat
|Operating System|SunOS web1 5.9 Generic_117172-05 i86pc i386 i86pc

Trying the 2.3.92 (after running the 2.3.72 version for a bit)

After stopping, and restarting Tomcat a number of times so that changes to the jspwiki.properties file take effect (did not see this on 2.3.72)

Seeing :

bash-2.05$ ./shutdown.sh
Using CATALINA_BASE: /usr/local/jakarta-tomcat/5.0.29
Using CATALINA_HOME: /usr/local/jakarta-tomcat/5.0.29
Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: /usr/local/jakarta-tomcat/5.0.29/temp
Using JAVA_HOME: /usr/j2se
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap
bash-2.05$ id

We end up with multiple:

bash-2.05$ ps -aef|grep java
  tomcat 2966 1 0 09:00:04 pts/4 1:15 /usr/j2se/bin/java -server -XX:+UseParallelGC -XX:MaxPermSize=512m -XX:NewSize=
  tomcat 3093 1 0 09:12:08 pts/4 0:58 /usr/j2se/bin/java -server -XX:+UseParallelGC -XX:MaxPermSize=512m -XX:NewSize=
  tomcat 2856 1 0 08:51:59 pts/6 0:46 /usr/j2se/bin/java -server -XX:+UseParallelGC -XX:MaxPermSize=512m -XX:NewSize=
  tomcat 3140 1 0 09:26:50 pts/4 0:51 /usr/j2se/bin/java -server -XX:+UseParallelGC -XX:MaxPermSize=512m -XX:NewSize=
  tomcat 3158 26809 0 09:32:28 pts/4 0:00 grep java

Which I kill (As this affects other running applications)

JSPWiki should be shutting down now, thanks to the new WikiBackgroundThread system. Is this still a problem?
