When something goes wrong that causes search to fail (for example Lucene didn't initialize) the search provider catches this exception and returns an empty list.
Now the search results are shown with 0 results, presented as if the search was done.

Search provider should probably throw an exeption to indicate the search failed, or make the list null.

'Minor' exceptions like unable to load attachments might be logged/supressed.


Fixed in 2.2.28.
