Excellent stuff, David! I'll integrate these into the stable and unstable branches as soon as I have the time :-)

Janne, after you integrate these patches, I'll refactor the FCKeditor Integration page, and will move some of this information on my page over there, and will probably add a FAQ section too. :)

Jobin, try adding the {{xercesImpl-2.6.2.jar}} file found under your $JSPWiki_SOURCE/lib directory to your $Tomcat/webapps/JSPWiki/WEB-INF/lib/ directory or the $Tomcat/common/endorsed/ one. This problem might be caused by using an older version of Tomcat. The install instructions are tested using JDK 1.5 and Tomcat 5.5.

I tried to implement the menutree plugin, only the first node is getting dislayed. The other nodes are not present and when i clicked the first node,it is not directed to the sub nodes,it is linked with the page with the name of the first node only.Do suggest something.
--Princcess,16 Feb,2007

Hmm, these issues regarding the menutree plugin, are they ''directly'' related to FCKeditor integration? If not, I'm probably not the right person to ask because I'm not familiar with the plugin either. You might want to try posting on the relevant plugin pages instead.

The patches are now in 2.5.23 (except the jspwiki_module.xml patch - it'll get there but for now you'll have to add this manually).

--JanneJalkanen, 18-Feb-2007

Janne, I concur -- given the current problems, it's better to keep it disabled. Although it might make it slightly easier to deploy if the FCK entry in the jspwiki_module.xml file was commented out instead.

--David Au, 20-Feb-2007

Actually, you could make a small jspwiki_fck.jar which would just contain a ini/jspwiki_module.xml with the declaration for FCK - then just drop it in lib and it would work :)

--JanneJalkanen, 21-Feb-2007

Hmm, I attempted to create a jar file as you had suggested but it didn't work when I put the additional jar file in place -- sounds like I might have to mess with the classpath to control the jar file loading order. However, alternatively I just realized that there's an even easier way for people to try out FCK without having to build from source -- they can just append {{"&editor=FCK"}} to the URL on the Edit page.

Hm. Strange. You could try turning on debug for EditorManager to see what is the issue.
