!10-Nov-2003 - Wiki refactoring tools

Our esteemed WikiGardeners are failing in their combat against certain pages. Not only that, but on certain internal documentation collections I have running, we can't even ''have'' WikiGardeners. Would it make sense to have an (optional) set of tools to ease refactoring? Something like, say, statistics reporting to a given address? A form on each page that lets you easily submit qualitative info ("This page ''really'' needs refactoring!", "This page was topical: -5...5", "This page was easy to find: -5...5")

None of this actually eases the actual tough decisions in refactoring a long page: what to discard, what to leave on the current page, what to spread to ten new pages.

Any thoughts on refactoring utilities?
