JavaScript is a scripting language that is mostly used for world wide web pages to enable some functional content on browsers. ECMAScript is the international standard for the language and it is usually supported by the latest browser versions.
Microsoft calls this JScript, but it's exactly the same thing.

There's a JSPlugin, and of course you can use JavaScript in your own templates.
