I dunno, I've found "doing nothing" to be one of the most exhausting experiences. It's really hard, so I usually end up reading, but I don't think that counts as "nothing" does it?

I think many of us look at the stuff we do, based on how productive or useful it is. Like you said, cleaning, eating, and even writing e-mails doesn't sound very productive and useful.

I don't dare to look at my life in the Uni in this light as it may seem that I haven't done anything useful in the last year ;)

Well, I'm still up at nearly 1 am, doing this elusive "nothing". So it must be a good way to pass time, but I actually really can't remember what I have been doing most of the day. Really. I just remember a phone call... :)

Vacuuming the apartment is not nothing. It is huge. It usually takes me a month to work up the strength and conviction to hoover. And as it usually takes me a month to decide to hoover I pretty much only get rid of the dust every two months.

Let's put it this way: If hoovering is nothing, you can stop by and vacuum my apartment antime you like.

Darling, get yourself a heavy wool mat. You will want to vacuum the apartment every week after that.

It's the darned thingies that get everywhere... It's as if the bloody mat was self-replicating or spreading spores or something :-)

Wool mat... schmool mat. Let me tell you about the more-than-meter long black hairs that "naturally" come off my wifes lovely scalp. On other thought, I don't think I have to.

And J-Ko, if you'll come and do the dishes for us, I'll be happy to vacuum your place. ;-)

You know, for a moment I read that sentence as "If J-Ko cleans Henri's dishes, Henri will vacuum my place", and was feeling very overjoyed.

Then my automatic proofreader hit in.

I should disable the bastard. It makes life so much less entertaining. :)
